Angel's January Fundraiser ~Joey's Eagles

It's almost January and the Etsy Angel's are starting off our New Year right with our first fundraiser.  Yes, the Angel's are ready and eager to get 2012 on the road and make this year our BEST year ever!

The Angel's take turns choosing a charity for the Team to raise money for and January's choice comes from CrochetbyMSA, MaryAnn.  That charity is Joey's Eagles (read more about Joey's Eagles by clicking on their name).  A non-profit organization that reaches out and helps families with children and young adults with cancer or other serious chronic illnesses.    This organization was started in memory of Joesph Grampp in 1996.  Here is a little about Joey's Eagles....

"Through donations made to us, we have been able to provide financial support for families in times of crisis and provide events throughout the year that have brought great joy to everyone.

Our goal is to provide a positive self-esteem for these children and also give ongoing support to their parents. We meet throughout the year, where we have shared parental support sessions and planned group activities.

We have, through donations made by people like you and through organizations, been able to help families during very difficult times.

Our long range goal is to be able to open a facility that children can attend while undergoing chemotherapy and many other treatments that keep them from attending school." 

We will be having a BNR at a later date during the month for some "fun" but all participating Angel shops have their donation intentions listed below.  Please, shop with any of the Etsy Angel's on this list all throughout January and help us raise funds for this beautiful organization!
